Organic mango · semi-dried

Mango.
Just mango.

The short answer: organic mango with part of its water removed at a low temperature. It stays soft, not crunchy, with a single ingredient on the list. It keeps for up to 12 months without a fridge and you eat it as it is, in yoghurt or from your bag.

What it tastes like

Sweet, concentrated and soft: you bite and it gives.

What it is. Organic mango cut into strips or chunks with part of its water removed. It is not freeze-dried mango (that one crunches and crumbles) or candied mango (that one comes in syrup). This one keeps the texture of the fruit and its own sugar.

Why semi-dried. Because it keeps some moisture, the mango stays chewy and juicy. So it is nothing like a fruit crisp: it is like ripe mango with a more intense flavour.

Ingredient: mango. No added sugars; contains naturally occurring sugars.

How to eat it

Four places where it fits.

As it is

A strip mid-morning or in your bag. The 40 g pouch is one portion.

In yoghurt

Finely sliced over plain yoghurt or kefir, with granola.

In a salad

With rocket, fresh cheese and lime. It brings the sweetness the acidity asks for.

On a board

Next to aged cheeses and dark chocolate, as an appetiser.

What it gives

What cannot be said

As the water goes, the fruit's own sugar concentrates: 54.2 g per 100 g. It is fruit, not a "sugar-free" snack.

Worked out from the per 100 g values on the pack. How much to eat on a long outing, and when, depends on each person: the numbers are there so you can decide.

For little ones

At snack time, in pieces.

For little ones, cut it into small pieces and make sure they eat sitting down and with an adult: the strips are fibrous. More ideas in the school snack guide.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask.

Does it have added sugar?+

No. The only ingredient is mango. It contains naturally occurring sugars: 54.2 g per 100 g, because the fruit's sugar concentrates as the water goes.

Does it need a fridge?+

No. Keep it somewhere cool and dry. Unopened, it lasts up to 12 months.

How is it different from freeze-dried mango?+

Freeze-dried mango loses almost all its water and crunches. Semi-dried mango keeps some moisture, so it stays soft and you bite it like the fruit.

When will it arrive?+

In 48 to 72 working hours. Delivery is free on orders over €45.

Limit

It concentrates the fruit's sugar: better as a portion than by the handful.

Allergens

May contain traces of nuts and peanuts.

Once opened

Close the bag well and keep it in the same cool, dry place.
