What to take depending on the plan
| Plan | What to take | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Plane | Bags of mango or pineapple | Closed 40 g portion, no fridge |
| Long car trip | Pack Familia | 12 varied bags to share out |
| Beach | Coconut flakes | Crunchy, no added oil, eaten on its own |
| Aperitif on the terrace | Coconut with sea salt | Sweet and salty, with a touch of salt |
The fruit bags are in the pure fruit collection, except the Pack Familia, which is in the packs one.
On the plane
Take 40 g bags of mango or pineapple. They are tender and come in a closed portion. The pineapple, according to its product page, does not stain and does not smell. What can go in the cabin or the suitcase is decided by each airline: check with yours before leaving.
In the car
The Pack Familia contains mango × 3, coconut × 3, pineapple × 2, apple × 2 and coconut with nectar × 2, all in 40 g bags. There are mild flavours, like the apple or the coconut, and more intense ones, like the pineapple. The apple contains the preservative SO2: it contains sulphites. It lasts about two weeks for two people or one week for a family, according to its product page.
At the beach
- Coconut flakes: on their own, between meals, or mixed with other Born fruits to make your own mix.
- Coconut with sea salt: as an aperitif, in a bowl, with beer or white wine.
- Pack Familia: one bag per backpack, so everyone picks their own.
It is stored in a cool, dry place. At the beach, that means a closed bag, in the shade and never left in the sun inside the car.
Dark chocolate fruit on a trip
Fruit coated in dark chocolate melts in the heat. Keep it away from direct heat and do not carry it in summer in a car parked in the sun or in the beach bag. In cool temperatures, The Dark Collection is carried like the rest, always away from heat. In summer, fruit without chocolate is better.
If you travel to train
The mango and pineapple bags are a portion to carry with you. More ideas in the guide to fruit for training or a long outing.
