Rowing Across the Atlantic: Ocean Cats' Sustainable Adventure with Born Fruit 🌊💪
Just over a month ago, four brave adventurers (Quim, Sergi, Martí and Juanba) embarked on the most extreme challenge of their lives: crossing the Atlantic by rowing, without engines, without sails, just physical strength, determination and purpose.
Their challenge wasn't just sporting: they wanted to raise awareness of the major environmental problems we face as a society: climate change, ocean pollution, plastic abuse, and biodiversity loss.
🌱 An extreme adventure with a sustainable message
The journey, led by the Ocean Cats Rowing team, involved rowing day and night nonstop through extreme weather conditions, challenging swells, and changing temperatures. Their goal? To prove that human limits can be challenged while striving for a more sustainable world.
🍍 Born fruit: their companion on the high seas
At Born we are proud to have been part of this historic journey by providing what we do best: organic dried fruit with no preservatives.
Why was it perfect for their expedition?
✔ Takes up little space
✔ Needs no fridge
✔ Is light
✔ Keeps for up to 12 months unopened
✔ Is eaten with no preparation
Our products such as dried mango, banana, coconut and cherry were part of their onboard provisions throughout the crossing.
🏁 GOAL REACHED AND VICTORY ACHIEVED!
After more than 30 days of non-stop effort, Ocean Cats not only crossed the Atlantic… but WON the competition! 🏆
A triumph of physical and mental endurance, as well as environmental commitment.
